Holly Pedersen, MFT, PhD
Holly is the Director of the Community Education Center at Parents Place in Palo Alto. Holly’s areas of expertise are childhood abuse and trauma, children’s social skills and relationships, bullying prevention and cyber safety. She has taught family sociology at the University of Southern California. Her other professional experience includes providing child custody mediation for Los Angeles Family Court Services and serving as the executive director of a non-profit agency that provides mental health services to abused and neglected children. Holly developed a comprehensive bullying prevention training program for inner-city schools in Southern California and has provided school-based assessments and counseling to special-needs students for the Santa Clara County Department of Mental Health. She has a PhD in sociology and a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from the University of Southern California.
