Academics

At GAIS, we believe that learning is not just about achieving good grades; it is about the joys of the life of the mind, about being engaged in learning, and about taking the initiative to pursue a passion or interest. High levels of both nurturance and challenge allow students to take increasing responsibility for themselves as independent learners. We want students to be involved in and excited about their learning. We want them to walk into our classrooms asking, “What are we going to do today?”

 

Preschool (PS)

The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), for students aged 3 to 12, focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside.

The mission of the Preschhol at GAIS is to provide an outstanding international education focused on inquiry-based learning with the goal of fostering confident, respectful, creative and responsible lifelong learners and global thinkers.

Elementary School (ES)

The International Middle School implements the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP), a modern international educational program that fosters the development and education of the whole person, through the understanding of concepts, the mastery of skills needed in the modern world, and the development of positive attitudes.
