Annual Fund 2011/12

Dear GAIS Community,

The cornerstone of the GAIS fundraising program is the Annual Fund, which provides the resources necessary to:

  • Recruit and retain teachers of the highest caliber
  • Enhance the academic program at GAIS
  • Bridge the gap between tuition income and the actual expense of a GAIS education.

The gap at GAIS is $750 per child.

By giving to the Annual Fund you show that you support the school, its values and the high quality of education the students receive. Unlike public schools, which receive tax revenue, independent schools like GAIS rely on your support to meet the school's annual operating expenses and to make improvements to our program and facilities.

Vital to the day-to-day operations of the school, annual fund dollars also help GAIS attract and retain excellent teachers, enhance programs and technology and improve facilities. Every year GAIS receives generous donations from parents, grandparents and friends. Donations from the immediate GAIS community are important beyond the actual dollar contributed because strong participation in the Annual Fund often positively influences the willingness of foundations and corporations to contribute.

Our goal is to have 100% parent participation.

For the 2011/12 school year GAIS has included $120,000 of fundraising revenue in its operating budget.

The GAIS Annual Fund campaign will run until the end of April.

Everyone that contributes by March 31 will be entered into a drawing for two 'get-out-of traffic duty passes' in 2012/13.

Only you can decide what is the right contribution for your family.
All gifts, no matter the size, are deeply appreciated and enhance every child at GAIS.
Annual Fund donations are tax-deductable, unlike tuition.

I would like to thank you in advance for your continuous participation and support for GAIS.
